Emmert Design likes to turn how conventional jewellery is viewed on its head. Tanja Falkenhayner is the jewellery designer behind the name Emmert Design. A native of Stuttgart, she started learning the art of gold working from scratch in her home town before studying at Idar Oberstein, where she discovered her love of beautiful stones in the heart of Germany’s gem-cutting industry. Today, she pushes the boundaries of classical craftsmanship by working with gemstones such as quartz, onyx, naturally coloured and dyed agates to carve out extraordinary pieces of jewellery. The result is always charmingly surprising jewellery. Take for example ‘The Daltons’. Depending on which way you look at these rings, you can see different things. If you turn the striped ring, you’ll see a solid design. Dare to contradict, to try the impossible – that’s basically the designer’s approach to design in a nutshell.

Groschenring

The "Groschenring" is made from a 10 penny coin.

It is gold plated and refined with black rhodium in the depressions of the minting.

It contains no nickel. The ring is 4.5 mm - 5.3 mm wide. It can be made in the sizes 47-66

The ring can be individualized by the year of minting inside the ring.

In the years 1949 and 1950 as well as the years 1966-2000 10 penny pieces were minted.

Heiermannring

The old 5-Mark piece is transformed into a wide band ring with embossing. The ring is 8,5mm-9mm wide. It can be made in sizes 50-72

The embossing lies around the ring like a band.

The Heiermann ring is available in 2 variants - blackened silver and white-boiled silver.

On the picture you can see the blackened version.

The 5-mark coin made of 625/- silver was minted in the years 1951, 1956-1961 and 1963 to 1974. I would be pleased to make you your Heiermann ring from the year of minting of your choice.

Geknotet Kurz

The chain "Geknotet Kurz" gets an interesting structure by knots placed one after the other. The knot, which you don't want to have in thin chains, becomes a design element here. The chain is made of 925/- silver and can be ordered in the lengths 40 cm, 42 cm and 45 cm. Other chain lengths can be made on request.

Hidden Colour Rings

Hidden under a layer of onyx the inner ring rail of colored agate shines out.

There are 3 color variations,

Black-red -with onyx and carnelian,

Black-Turquoise blue with onyx and turquoise colored agate or

Black and yellow with onyx and yellow colored agate.

The 2-piece stone rings are cut by hand to fit and the 2 types of stone are glued together. Due to the crowning inside the ring, the wide stone ring is very comfortable to wear.
